Today is one of those days where everything seems quiet. It seems like the world outside of these walls is not even there. It is peaceful. Do you ever have those days?
I do not mean that it is literally quiet. I can hear Hubby getting ice out of the freezer, the dog's tag jingling as he moves, the air conditioning running, the birds are talking, and other "life" noises are happening. However, everything feels quiet. It is a feeling that everything is calm, everything is good. The worries of life are not affecting me at this moment -- and, yes, there are some doozies right now. I just feel at peace.
It is time to head off and do some cleaning, but I will leave you with this....
Oh, I long for summer here....you describe hubby getting ice and the air conditioner running. That must mean it is warm where you live! LOL
ReplyDeleteI'm not complaining, though. It IS almost 59 degrees here, so it is warmer than the 40 degrees that the weatherman originally predicted!
I love it when everything just feels peaceful. That is the best feeling in the world!
Love peace and quiet too....so good for reflecting on God's blessings! Enjoy early in the day when just the birds are chirping! :)
ReplyDeleteA.Marie, summer is not here yet, but it is definitely spring. The birds are chirping, jlsgrant, and it is such a serene afternoon. I think I hear a neighbor flying a plane up above, too. 8^)
ReplyDeleteAhhh I dream of quiet. I'm suppose to have a "light" week this week and next. HA! Not! Why is it that my time fills up whenever I have a hole in it??
ReplyDeleteDon't have much quiet in this season unless I stay up late or get up very early.....perhaps in 6 months ;-)
ReplyDeleteRevjen, I sooo know what you mean. Our activities sometimes seem to expand to fill our time, and then, suddenly, we are overextended.
ReplyDeleteLisa, what will be happening in six months?
Oh, thank you for posting this! So beautifully uplifting!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, LOVE those "quite" moments! Especially when they tend to happen after a particularly high stress chain of events. It's like "AAHHHHH, the good life has returned!" LOL!
